Artay Lighting is a LED lighting fixtures manufacturer in Istanbul, Turkey, casting its own housings in its own die-cast foundry since 1999. We started as an aluminium injection and zinc alloy die-casting manufacturer and moved into LED lighting in 2005 — which is why custom production is normal here rather than exceptional. When a municipality, contractor or distributor needs a fixture that does not exist in any catalogue, we cut the die and produce it.

Does Artay manufacture in its own factory?

Yes. Artay casts aluminium and zinc alloy in its own die-cast foundry in Basaksehir, Istanbul, and has done so since 1999. Luminaire housings and pole components are cast in-house from EN AC-46000 (AlSi9Cu3) alloy; steel shafts are fabricated and hot-dip galvanized to EN ISO 1461. LED module, driver and optic assembly is completed in the same facility. This is why a form that exists in no catalogue can still be produced: we cut the die ourselves.

Which standards do Artay products comply with?

Artay luminaires are CE marked, and our manufacturing is certified to TSE under TS EN 40 for lighting columns, and to ISO 9001 for quality management. For every project we confirm in writing, before production starts, which standards and which TEDAS specifications the delivered products are built to. Which part of the EN 40 series does what, which part carries CE marking, and what EN 40 deliberately leaves to EN 13201, EN 12767 and ISO 12944, is set out in our guide to the EN 40 series.

Can Artay produce a fixture or pole that is not in any catalogue?

That is the reason the foundry exists. Send a drawing, a 3D model or a photograph of a reference form. A new mould is a one-time cost of 4,000-50,000 USD depending on part size, and the tool stays reserved for the customer. Minimum order on a new mould is 1,000-2,000 units. Cutting the die takes 4-6 weeks and series production a further 3 weeks, so a first delivery lands 7-9 weeks after drawing approval — and every repeat order on that mould ships in 3 weeks, with no further mould cost and no minimum.
